The conception of the house emerges directly from the way we observed this reality. Dealing with a single-family house of large dimensions for local standards， we chose to divide the construction volume in two parts. Half of the construction is buried， like a negative of the land， and assumed as being a part of it. Over that half-land， a second volume is placed， long and flattened， in apparent white concrete. In the inferior volume are located the technical areas， the less used areas or those of support. In the upper volume the socials areas gather around a main courtyard， and the bedrooms around a private second one.

A home for two plus a dog. The house itself is comprised of three shells of progressive size nested inside one another. The outermost shell covers the entire premises, creating a covered, semi-indoor garden. Second shell encloses a limited space inside the covered outdoor space. Third shell creates a smaller interior space. Residents build their life inside this gradation of domain.
I have always had doubts about streets and houses being separated by a single wall, and wondered that a gradation of rich domain accompanied by various senses of distance between streets and houses might be a possibility, such as: a place inside the house that is fairly near the street; a place that is a bit far from the street, and a place far off the street, in secure privacy.
That is why life in this house resembles to living among the clouds. A distinct boundary is nowhere to be found, except for a gradual change in the domain. One might say that an ideal architecture is an outdoor space that feels like the indoors and an indoor space that feels like the outdoors. In a nested structure, the inside is invariably the outside, and vice versa. My intention was to make an architecture that is not about space nor about form, but simply about expressing the riches of what are `between` houses and streets.
Three nested shells eventually mean infinite nesting because the whole world is made up of infinite nesting. And here are only three of them that are given barely visible shape. I imagined that the city and the house are no different from one another in the essence, but are just different approaches to a continuum of a single subject, or different expressions of the same thing- an undulation of a primordial space where humans dwell. This is a presentation of an ultimate house in which everything from the origins of the world to a specific house is conceived together under a single method.

“Here we will build a monument dedicated to nature and we will make it our lives’ purpose”.

Le Corbusier’s ‘chapel of our lady of the height‘ is a pilgrimage chapel, though on most days more frequented by architectural pilgrims than the intended variety. Perched on a commanding hill above the village of Ronchamp, it is the latest of a long history of chapels on the site. Its predecessor was destroyed in fighting in the Second World War, though much of its stone is used in the walls of Le Corbusier’s building.

The thick, curved walls – especially the buttress-shaped south wall – and the vast shell of the concrete roof give the building a massive, sculptural form. Small, brightly painted and apparently irregular windows punched in these thick walls give a dim but exciting light within the cool building, enhanced by further indirect light coming down the three light towers.

This is the mantra behind the newly developed Logica System Kitchen. The back of the layout contains and conceals all the kitchen equipments at whim. The scratch resistance worktop is treated with nanotechnology & the SMEG hob can be camouflaged by using the same glass employed for the worktop. When the cooking is done, the system’s numerous features (and leftover mess) are easily hidden behind the pull-down hood.
The equipments in the kitchen include: the dish-drainer, weighing scales, small appliances, removable cooking receptacles, bottle-racks, power sockets, a monitor, a kitchen roll holder, the tap, hooks for utensils and even a cooker hood.

In Milan, between April 17 and 23, 2007, Jean Nouvel – one of the most creative and challenging architects in the world – has presented “Corian® Nouvel Lumières”, a fashinating multi-sensorial interior environment that, through six “domestic themes” (kitchen, dining room, library, living room, bathroom and bedroom) creatively and elegantly explores the interactions of Corian® with light.

“Corian® Nouvel Lumières” is a project organized and sponsored by DuPont™ Corian®. Main partners of DuPont™ Corian® for this exhibition are Targetti (lighting solutions), Legrand and Bticino (domotic systems), Ernestomeda (kitchen), Margaritelli/Listone Giordano® Contract (wall pannelling and flooring systems), Scholtès-Indesit Company (built-in appliances), Hasenkopf (fabrication of Corian®) and Marotte (special decorative panels).

Mini家族首位雙座跑車成員

MINI Coupe（R58）最受人矚目之處，無非是頭盔式車頂設計概念，利用對比色彩突顯車身線條，事實上MINI Coupe在腰線以下與掀背款MINI完全相同，甚至連軸距2467mm也一模一樣，不過MINI Coupe車高降低52mm，A柱較為後傾，車頂鈑件面積大幅減少，結合擾流片的後擋風玻璃極為滑順的銜接行李廂蓋，風阻係數0.35，比掀背款MINI降低0.01。MINI Couper可選9種車身顏色，搭配三種對比色包括Jet Black、Pure Silver、Chili Red構成的車頂，車主可自行發揮色彩創意。
由於採用雙座配置，自然無需顧慮後座空間，這使得MINI Coupe的行李廂空間來到280公升，比起掀背款MINI的160公升還要寬敞，可惜的是行李廂與車室之間的隔板無法取下，原廠僅設計一個36×20cm的長方形通道，來置放長條型物品，空間變化度較低，前述隔板上配置高低音喇叭，若選配Harman Kardon音響系統便能享受極佳的視聽體驗。其次是首次出現在MINI車系的自動升降尾翼，當車速超過80km/h時升起，低於60km/h則收回，主要功效為提供車尾下壓力。
MINI Coupe擁有Cooper、Cooper S、Cooper SD，以及性能版John Cooper Works等四款動力系統，前三者可選配Steptronic手自排變速箱，後者僅有六速手排，動力輸出數據分別是122hp/160Nm、184hp/240Nm、143hp/305Nm、211hp/260Nm，其中Cooper S版本搭載具備VALVETRONIC氣門揚程連續可變機構的新款N18缸內直噴渦輪引擎，John Cooper Works版本使用來自於MINI Challenge賽事經驗研發的N14渦輪引擎，並將DSC含DTC動態駕馭控制系統、EDLC電子限滑差速器列為標配。
